TBA: Training Better Artists, Toward a Better Alaska!
Monday, November 24 2008 @ 06:25 AM AKST Contributed by: Erin Views:: 469
World AIDS Day began in 1988 and since then, has been held on December 1st every year to raise awareness, provide education and fight the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS. While we must focus on this disease more than one day a year, this one day is still a powerful reminder that there is still much to be done to fight the disease and its stigma. This year, the Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association (Four A?s) partners with TBA to hold events and activities to create awareness and educational opportunities for the community. Join us at the Alaska Wild Berry Theater for a vigil, music from the West High RARE-T choir, a panel discusion, and a free showing of the film Rent.
Many thanks to everyone who auditioned - there were so many talented people you made it difficult to decide and I could easily have cast the show twice! If you were not cast we do hope to see all of you again at future auditions, performances and workshops.

Stalking the Stage, Legend of the Wolfman Haunts APU this Friday...
- Don't miss the show that audience members hail as "Beautifully written, directed, acted, costumed, blooded, shredded..."

A gothic horror stalks a young couple and the residents of an isolated Midwest community at the turn of the last century. This story of mystery and suspense is recommended for those who can handle a good scare.
"The production values click in this gorefest featuring everything from frenzied mobs and a wise crone to young innocents roaming the streets after nightfall." - Dawnell Smith, Anchorage Daily News Click here to read the full article

"TBA Theatre is jumping on the blockbuster bandwagon" with...
Wednesday, July 09 2008 @ 11:16 AM AKDT Contributed by: Moogan Views:: 583
Hold on to the edge of your seat as TBA Theatre presents the show the ADN hails as "theatrical ice cream... fast-paced and funny..."
Murder, mad scientists and mayhem all play a part in in this campy send up of the B movies of the 1950's. Janice and Penny have a secret on this dark and stormy night. Add a psychotic killer, a UFO chasing mad scientist, a run a amok robot, a gun toting detective, a disembodied head, and a nosy neighbor who knows too much and you have a perfect experiment in side splitting satire! The laughs come non-stop in this wonderful original show that took the Last Frontier Theater Conference by storm.
The cast "...in possession of excellent comic timing..." includes critically acclaimed actors Eleanor Janecek Delaney, Lindsay Lamar, Todd Glidewell, Carl Bright, Leif Sawyer, Kristin Fernandez and special appearances by Erin Dagon Mitchell and Wayne Mitchell
