Directed by Erin Dagon Mitchell

Scenic Design - Frank Bebey
Costume Design - Charlotte Kopp
Lighting Design - Frank Hardy

THE SOUND OF MUSIC is presented through special arrangement with R & H Theatricals
The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world's most beloved musical!
When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular musical of all time..

Explore improvisation as a training tool for stage actors, as we continue the work done in our fall sessions. Based on the work of Viola Spolin, the class focuses on using improv techniques to discover theatre/acting realities, bringing out the actor inside of you that you didn't know was there. This is an excellent class to hone your skills and help you stand out as an experienced artist. For students who took part in our earlier sessions: this is new material! Folks who did not take part I will NOT have to play catch-up, though.
This is a SELF-STANDING course, and no previous experience is necessary!

This class is ideal for anyone interested in auditioning for upcoming musicals around town, like TBA's "The Sound of Music."
Please note: All students are required to bring in a 1-2 minute song on sheet music to work on during the class. CD accompaniment is preferred but not required.

The quite mountain country of Hootin' Holl'r erupts in a knee slapping comic feud when a wedding between the Hatcoys and the Mcfields has a hilarious mishap. The presence of a city slicker G-man, a clueless bear, a wily wolf, a bungling preacher, and two rip roarin' grannies adds fuel to the comic fire resulting in a side splitting comic adventure for the whole family.
This Old Time comedy laughfest is the result of a two week theatre intensive where students spend each school day in study of physical comedy theatre and the New Vaudeville style. With wacky antics, crazy costumes and a fun-filled soundtrack, this production is sure to delight the young and young at heart.
